Riddle of the day

I'm just off to Wales for the Odyssey weekend, but thought I ought not to go without today's riddle.

Riddle of the day:

On a bare mountain top,
grows a luxurious crop.
After many winters,
Scattered snow still lingers.

Riddle of the day

Riddle of the day:

Taken from the mother,
mixed with the brother,
pressed hard,
well aged.

Riddle of the day

Riddle of the day:

A dark cloud hovers under a gloomy sky,
Sun fearing, wind fearing, life sucking.

Riddle of the day

Riddle of the day:

Down I lie,
my prey beneath.
Comfort I bring,
In the depths of the night.

Riddle of the day

Yet again I was offline over the weekend, so unable to post a riddle, but I hope you've got your brains in gear for a few more.

Riddle of the day:

You see a sinful number
By the way I stand.
You will have a fine day
if you ignore me.
